An American reconnaissance plane has flown over the Korean peninsula, as reported on Thursday, the aviation tracker Aircraft Spots, which is the second flight detected in less than a day, in an apparent sign of increased vigilance over North Korea.
The plane, apparently E-8C model, was seen in the sky over the Korean peninsula, according to the publication of Aircraft Spots on its Twitter account, without providing more details about the exact time of the operation.
The flight was made hours after the aviation tracker detected another American spy plane model RC-135V, according to Aircraft Spots, flying, on Wednesday, over Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, which surrounds the capital.
The flights were carried out after the North Korean coastal battery firing maneuvers on the border islet of Changrin, in the Yellow Sea, under the instructions of the North Korean State Affairs Committee president, Kim Jong-un.
Seoul has filed a protest through the inter-Korean communication line, calling the maneuvers a violation of the military pact between the two Koreas, signed last year.
There have been persistent concerns that North Korea could conduct additional missile tests, amid stagnant dialogues about denuclearization with the United States.
The communist country has conducted 12 rounds of testing its main weapons this year, including new types of short-range ballistic missiles and a submarine launch ballistic missile (SLBM).
