Nearly half a million users have confirmed on Facebook their presence at this event during which they will “storm” Area 51 to “see alien creatures ” at the base of the US Air Force. in southern Nevada. This place has long been shrouded in mystery for those who believe it is actually a detention site for creatures from another world.

All this may be a joke or nonsense for many suspected UFO researchers. But federal officials do not make fun of the possibility of a significant number of people coming to the highly classified military base, a detachment far from Edwards Air Force Base in California.

The event’s page, titled “Storm Area 51, They Can not Stop All of Us,” had gathered nearly 670,000 people on Saturday. Nearly 620,000 others said they were “interested”.

The alleged raid is scheduled for September 20 between 3 am and 6 am. The “Details” section says, “If we, Naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets.” We are referring to Naruto Uzumaki, a Japanese manga character who seems to run at the speed of light by stretching his arms behind him.

According ComicBook.com , an information site on the comics, television series and movies, a social network user named “SmyleeKun” who designed the Facebook page in question is “known for its publications memes and its content broadcast on Twitch”, a live broadcast platform used by gamers.

In other words, it’s almost certainly a joke. But it also caught the attention of the Ministry of Defense.

Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews, in remarks Friday by the  Washington Post, warned anyone who had serious intentions to storm the site and reminded them to think twice about it. time.

“[Area 51] is an open training field for the US Air Force and we discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train the US Armed Forces,” she said. “The US Air Force is always ready to protect America and its assets.”

Although the government has denied the existence of Area 51 for years, the CIA has recognized it as real in 2013. However, it has only been described as a test site for aviation.
