Two people died after small aircraft Evektor EV-97 Eurostar crashed at La Nava aerodrome in Spain. The circumstances around the aircraft crash are unclear.
The first report of the accident was sent at eleven o’clock in the morning on Sunday and the alerter indicated that he had seen a small plane fall and when he got closer he could see that the two occupants were unconscious. At the scene were sent Civil Guard, the firemen of Segovia, an ambulance with medical teams a health helicopter.
The accident has also been reported to the Rescue Air Service (SAR), the Red Cross, the Emergency Military Unit and the personnel of Sacyl (Castilla and León Health) that has only been able to certify the death of the two occupants of the plane.
At the moment the causes of the incident are unknown. The investigation is underway.
The facilities of La Nava aerodrome in Segovia are closed to all types of aerial activity for two years.
Evektor EV-97 Eurostar is two-seat, light sport aircraft, manufactured by Evektor-Aerotechnik of the Czech Republic and powered by a Rotax 912ULS, 100 horsepower (75 kW) engine.
