The U.S. Air Force UU. is Associated with a Blockchain Platform for Big Data Management

The United States Air Force (USAF) partnered with Constellation, a giant blockchain data management company.

According to a Constellation press release published on August 27, the company signed an employment contract with the USAF. The United States Air Force, on the other hand, better explained the scope of the association in the following statement:

“The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to expedite the Innovation Research Process for Small Businesses in an attempt to accelerate the experience, expand the group of potential applicants and decrease general bureaucratic expenses.”

The Vice President of Business Development of Constellation, Benjamin Diggles – who is responsible for the association – further notes that the USAF has many sources of data that must be protected, such as drones, airplanes and satellites.

He also says that “the clean and consolidated data that can be consulted instantly is a great necessity within the defense apparatus.”

Data from different sources are disconnected, complex and require significant labor to handle forensic analysis, planning and collection. Constellation says it can provide a scalable and decentralized secure data management platform that can be integrated with legacy and future data types. The company also states:

“Constellation provides decentralized security not only to Air Force data flows, with encryption, but also creates audit trails and a real-time overview of the status of any data source.”

As Cointelegraph reported yesterday, the USAF also partnered with the smart contract company SIMBA Chain to provide the blockchain-based platform that would be used to secure its supply chain.
