At least ten people were killed when a small twin-engine plane crashed while taking off from the airport in the town of Addison, north of Dallas (Texas), authorities said.
The device, a Beechcraft King Air BE350, with capacity for nine passengers besides the pilot, crashed in the morning against a hangar when the takeoff maneuver took place, said the director of public communication of Addison, Mary Rosenbleeth.
The rescue teams immediately went to the scene of the incident, while firefighters put out a fire that was declared in the hangar, which was charred.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, no one was inside the hangar when the aircraft crashed into him, and all the victims respond to those in the twin-engine, none of which survived.
When the plane crashed, the device burst into flames and although the fire was quickly extinguished, the hangar was almost completely destroyed, leaving a black column of smoke from its roof, witnesses said.
Addison is a town located about 30 kilometers north of Dallas and its municipal airport is one of the so-called relief airports, with very little commercial activity and which serves the Dallas Fort Worth and Dallas Love Field airports.
The authorities reported that the victims are identified, but did not disclose their identities until they notified their close relatives. The Federal Aviation Administration investigates the causes of the accident.
