A Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet from the Indian Air Force crashed during a routine training mission, the IAF said, noting that both pilots were ejected before the plane fell to the ground and burst into flames.
The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from Tezpur air base at 8:00 pm local time on Thursday. Both pilots survived the accident and were transferred to 155 Base Hospital. His condition was not made public.
The video of the scene shows the plane on fire in the field with firefighters trying to control hell.
The air force has begun an investigation into the accident. The last accident occurs two months after an Antonov An-32 transport plane crashed with 13 people on board.
