Somon Air Boeing 737 landed by emergency at Dushanbe Airport after technical problem

Somon Air Boeing 737Somon Air Boeing 737-300 landed by the emergency at Dushanbe Airport in Tajikistan, after discovering an insignificant malfunction during Dushanbe-Moscow flight. The pilot of the aircraft following the instructions and decided to return to the airport of departure. Landing at Dushanbe International Airport was successful, without causing injuries among the passengers and crew.

The airplane was performing a flight from Dushanbe to Moscow with 128 passengers and 6 crew members. Immediately upon returning to Dushanbe, all passengers were sent to Moscow by another plane of the airline – Boeing 737-800.

“The airline apologizes to all passengers of the flight for the inconvenience and notes that all the actions of the crew were taken, primarily for the safety of passengers”, says the statement of Somon Air.

Boeing 737 Classic refers to the -300/-400/-500 series of the Boeing 737. It is the second-generation derivative of the 737. They are short- to medium-range, narrow-body jet airliners. The 737 Classic includes three variants and can seat between 145 and 188 passengers. Improvements over the previous generation of 737 aircraft included CFM International CFM56 high-bypass-ratio turbofan engines, upgraded avionics, and increased passenger capacity (in the -300/-400 models).
