Ryanair canceled 30 flights due to pilot’s strike in Ireland

RyanairThe low-cost airline Ryanair canceled 30 flights due to a strike in Ireland, organized by the local pilots’ association. The flight affected by these actions are only between Ireland and the UK.

Members of the Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA) directly employed by Ryanair are in dispute about arrangements for transferring flight crew between European and North African bases as well as seniority and annual leave arrangements. The two sides failed to reach an agreement after seven hours of talks.

In the coming months, however, flights may be canceled for other destinations, with more employees in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Belgium preparing for the strikes in the summer. Protests in Italy will be on July 25th, and in Spain, Portugal and Belgium – between July 25th and 26th.

Ryanair apologizes for delayed flight to its customers in an official announcement stating that their goal was to limit them only between these two countries so as not to affect flights to Portugal, France, Spain, Italy and Greece.

In the autumn of last year, the company was forced to cancel hundreds of trips due to staff shortages. Then it became clear that there were leaks due to the company’s working conditions.
