Open Water Training in Colombia, an Exercise of Precision and Skill for the Colombian Air Force

Within the training exercises led by the Air Operations Command of the Colombian Air Force, the open water exercise is carried out in Santa Marta, a practice through which it seeks to develop skills that the crews perform during rescues in high seas.

Participants in this exercise are members of the Special Air Operations Group, crews of House 295, the Black Hawk and Bell 212 helicopters.

They are used to rescue, as well as transfers of people affected by natural disasters, accidents or any eventuality since the place where it is required, towards an area that guarantees the integrity of your life.

In total, more than 60 crew members of the different teams participated, who had the support of the Coast Guard of Santa Marta, who had three quick reaction units to carry out each of the trained maneuvers.

These exercises were carried out two nautical miles from the Bay of Santa Marta, this being the best space to implement the different rescue maneuvers.

With this type of training, an immediate reaction is guaranteed anywhere in the country by the Colombian Air Force, which supports safe operations for all those who require it, under any circumstance.
