Chile had the honor of being included in the section “Astronomical Photography of the day”, with which NASA highlights every day a photograph of the universe or of different astronomical phenomena along with the commentary of a specialist.
This time, it was an image captured during the total solar eclipse in the Coquimbo Region, which was recognized by the prestigious space agency on its website.
The spectacular photograph was captured in the facilities of the La Silla Observatory, located in the municipality of La Higuera. In it you can sequence all the phases through which the phenomenon happened, along with the facilities of the astronomical site.
