Lightning struck an Airbus A380 passenger plane of the Emirates Airlines this November 20, at Christchurch‘s New Zealand airport.
A pilot from the Garden City Helicopters company managed to capture the image and posted it on the company’s Facebook account.
The photo shows that the lightning fell only a few meters from the aircraft.
“The view of our window to the runway today! The Emirates plane waiting for the storm to pass,” says the comment that accompanies the image.
That day, some airlines suspended their flights at the same airport due to the storm.
