Jetblue aircraft Airbus A321-200 abandoned takeoff from Las Vegas due to fire in right hand engine. The aircraft was accelerating for takeoff from runway 01R, but rejected the maneuver at low speed (about 80 kts over ground). The airplane stopped on the runway and tower advised there was smoke coming from the right hand engine. The emergency services responded and fire trucks arrived at the scene.
The airline reported the aircraft experienced smoke coming off its right engine before takeoff. The smoke was quickly suppressed and the aircraft taxied back to the gate, where passengers disembarked normally.
No injuries were reported during the incident. The passengers were rebooked for other flights.

Final assembly of the aircraft takes place in Hamburg, Germany, or Mobile, Alabama.
