Cessna 320 Skyknight experienced a nosegear collapse upon landing at Centennial Airport in Denver

Cessna 320 SkyknightAircraft Cessna 320 Skyknight experienced a nosegear collapse upon landing at Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado. During the accident, there were two people on board. There was no fire or injuries reported. South Metro Fire Rescue responded to the scene and assisted the people from the aircraft, securing the zone of the crash. The runway was closed until removal of the wreckage.

The local authorities initiated an investigation for the root cause of the accident. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the incident.

Interestingly, two separate similar accident happened on the same day at Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado. Piper PA-24 Comanche had a gear-up landing at Centennial Airport in Denver. Both parallel runways remain closed for investigation and inspection. The third runway was operational.

Cessna 320 Skyknight was an attempt by Cessna to establish a heavier version of the 310 design. It was developed from the 310F, which featured turbocharged TSIO-470-B engines and a fourth cabin side-window. Cessna 320 Skyknight has six seats, a larger cabin, and two turbocharged engines.
