British Airways has announced plans to upgrade its premium economy class World Travel Plus as part of a service improvement project worth more than 8 billion USD.
From February 1, 2019, the passengers of the premium economy class will have access to a new onboard menu with three types of main dishes to choose from and a “more nutritious” second hotter one. Pre-order travelers can do 24 hours before the flight through the airline’s website. And from the spring in the cabin will be updated travel kits, quilts, and pillows.
Last year the air carrier presented World Travel Plus seats with an adjustable headrest and extended leg room, as well as an entertainment system with an enlarged screen. New seats will be installed on the Airbus A350 this year.
British Airways is the flag carrier and the largest airline in the United Kingdom based on fleet size, or the second largest, behind easyJet when measured by passengers carried. The airline is based in Waterside near its main hub at London Heathrow Airport. In January 2011, British Airways merged with Iberia, creating the International Airlines Group (IAG), a holding company registered in Madrid, Spain.
