Boeing Business Jets launched the world’s longest-haul business-class aircraft

Boeing Business JetsBoeing Business Jets division announced the launch of the BBJ 777X program, a new model of a business-class aircraft that can fly more than half of the globe without landing – further than any other business jet.

“Our most demanding customers want to travel with maximum comfort and fly directly to their destination. The new BBJ 777X will cope with this task better than any predecessor, going to a new level of ultra-long business class transportation”, said Greg Laxton, head of the Boeing Business Jets, at the Middle East Business Aviation Show, which is held every two years.

Customers can choose one of two models: BBJ 777-8 or 777-9. BBJ 777-8 provides the highest flight range of 11,645 nautical miles (21,570 km) and a spacious saloon area of 3,256 sq ft (302.5 sq m). BBJ 777-9 has an even more spacious cabin, an area of 3,689 sq ft (342.7 sq m), At the same time providing an ultra-high flight range of 11,000 nautical miles (20,370 km). This model opens up almost endless possibilities in terms of interior cabin design to ensure maximum comfort during long-haul flights.

To demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability of the spacious cabin of the aircraft, Boeing Business Jets introduced interior concepts from three leading interior design companies: Greenpoint Technologies, Jet Aviation and Unique Aircraft Design. Each of the concepts shows how the BBJ 777X can be transformed to satisfy the needs of any VIP customer. During the exhibition, Boeing announced a new order for aircraft of the BBJ MAX family, demonstrating the stability and efficiency of the Boeing Business Jets aircraft fleet. Together with the new order, the details of which were not disclosed, the total number of orders for BBJ MAX is 21 aircraft.

BBJ MAX is built on the basis of the best-selling Boeing aircraft – 737 MAX – and provides a cabin area that is more than 3 times the cabin area of most competing models, a lower cabin height and the ability to fly 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km).
