Boeing and Turkish Technic, a division of Turkish Airlines responsible for maintenance and repair (MRO) of aircraft, announced the conclusion of an agreement within the service program of Boeing Global Fleet Care. Turkish Technic has become a strategic partner of Boeing in the field of line maintenance, aircraft overhaul, maintenance and repair of components. Boeing and Turkish Technic will also cooperate in the field of training and certification of aircraft technicians from around the world.
“We provide maintenance services to more than 50 operational maintenance stations around the world, as well as our basic maintenance centers in Istanbul and Ankara. October 29, 2018 in the New Airport of Istanbul will open our new generation MRO center, where we will provide an expanded range of services. Today we are pleased to announce a mutually beneficial cooperation with Boeing, which will make a significant contribution to the development and efficiency of our business. The Global Fleet Care program includes maintenance and repair of aircraft, as well as personnel training. Under the agreement, airlines flying on Boeing aircraft will be able to receive the highest level of service provided by Turkish Technics”, said the CEO of Turkish Technic, Ahmet Karaman.
Last year, Boeing and the government of Turkey announced the launch of the national aerospace initiative Boeing-Turkey, which goal is to support the development of the Turkish aerospace industry in accordance with the goals set in the Vision 2023 program, developed for the centenary of the formation of the Republic of Turkey. The initiative sets the parameters for cooperation between the Boeing corporation and the Turkish government, Turkish Airlines, service companies serving the aerospace industry and supplier companies in the field of technical research and development, as well as staff development.

We see significant development potential in the field of aviation service and maintenance in Turkey”, said Marc Allen, President of Boeing International. “The positioning of Turkey as a global player in the field of aviation services is one of the key elements of the Boeing-Turkey national aerospace initiative, which we announced last year. By this agreement, we have expanded our mutually beneficial successful cooperation with Turkish Technic”, added he.
The Boeing division, Global Services, provides technical support to more than 60 customers, and also serves more than 2,500 aircraft under the Global Fleet Care program. The company offers individual solutions, including the implementation of engineering and design works, regulating the aircraft flight characteristics. Works carried out as part of the hourly payment for engine maintenance, Global Fleet Care’s solutions in engineering, spare parts, and maintenance enhance the efficiency of airline operations.
