Boeing and AirBridgeCargo announced agreement on the use of Crew Pairing

AirBridgeCargoBoeing and AirBridgeCargo announced an agreement on the use of Crew Pairing to support the planning of activities and the work of more than 300 flight crew members.

As a result of the agreement, AirBridgeCargo integrates the Crew Pairing tool into its work to create optimized work schedules and increase the working capacity and the stress-resistance of crews while reducing costs. This tool is provided by Jeppesen, a subsidiary of Boeing, and operates on the basis of Boeing AnalytX, allowing airlines to optimize operations and gain improved analytics. The new instrument will complement the already used Jeppesen Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) solution. FRM operates on the basis of Boeing’s Boeing Alertness Model, forming strategies and proven solutions to reduce the fatigue risk in crew schedules.

“Being a cargo airline with complex and dynamic operations, we expect that the new crew management tool will increase our regular flights, and as a result – the quality of our service”, said the CEO of AirBridgeCargo, Sergey Lazarev. “Creating favorable working conditions for our flight crew and attracting new pilots is an important task for us. We are convinced that Crew Pairing will be a great help for improvement in these areas, and will also help us increase productivity and manage direct costs, such as subsistence allowance, changes in crew members’ work plans and accommodation in hotels”, added he.

Currently, AirBridgeCargo uses a number of flight management services provided by Boeing Global Services, which helps the airline to increase its operational efficiency and to support the sustainability of its operations. The Onboard Performance Tool (OPT) is part of the Electronic Flight Bag and allows AirBridgeCargo crews to maximize commercial operations by optimizing for the ability to calculate landing characteristics and perform real-time weight and alignment analysis. The airline also uses the Fuel Dashboard tool, which provides a comprehensive and clear picture of fuel consumption, which allows making informed decisions to reduce fuel consumption, costs and emissions.
