The Russian airline company AZUR Air received its second airplane Boeing 737-800, which will improve and enlarge its fleet. This month the arrival of three more Boeing 737-800 is planned. The new airplanes are part from the air of the Russian air carrier to improves its service and responds to the growing demand by tourists for foreign destination. The significant growth of narrow-body models of the Boeing 737-800 in the fleet of the airline is designed to optimize passenger transportation to foreign resorts and to release a wide-body fleet for use on long-distance routes.
“Thus, the airline’s fleet will consist of five aircraft Boeing 737-800 and in general the fleet of AZUR Air will be twenty-one aircraft by the end of June”, said the official statement of the company
Recall, the first Boeing 737-800 airline began operating in January 2017. The second aircraft also has a one-class layout, designed to carry 189 passengers. The aircraft has the registration number VQ-BMW and made its first flight from Moscow to Antalya, bringing 186 tourists to the sunny resorts of Turkey.
For today the airline carries out flights from thirty-eight Russian cities. Today, the airline is the largest holder of long-haul Boeing 767-300 aircraft, actively used on transatlantic routes to the Caribbean, as well as to China, Vietnam and Thailand.
