The aircraft took off runway 26 at Gurion Airport in Israeli capital with 29 passengers en route to Eilat, but at about 21000 feet due to reporting a problem with the brakes. The aircraft entered a hold for about 70 minutes to burn some fuel and then returned to Ben Gurion Airport for a safe landing. The pilot followed the safety procedures of the airline and successfully landed 100 minuted after departure. There were no reported injuries during the incident.

All the passengers were rebooked onto the next flight IZ-843.

The local authorities initiated investigation for the root cause of the accident. The aircraft was detained for further inspection and repairs before allowed to return in service.

The Embraer ERJ 195 is narrow-body short- to medium-range twin-engine jet airliners, which offers up to 120 passengers an unusually comfortable flight experience thanks to its high cabin ceilings and generously apportioned seats.
