The airline UTair transported 4 million passengers in January-July 2017, which is 13.2% more than an same period last year. The growth on domestic routes is 11.2%, while increase in international flights is 24.7%.
During the reported period the airline UTair carried 4,039,532 passengers in total. Passenger turnover increased by 13.3%, to 6.618 billion pkm (passengers per km), seat occupancy rate increased by 3.8 percentage points to 73.6%. The production raid increased by 10.4%, amounting to 108.6 thousand hours.
“The number of passengers is constantly growing, as by the end of July 2017 more than 4 million travelers used UTair services. The most popular destinations this summer were Krasnodar, St Petersburg, Sochi and Surgut. The increase in passenger traffic is connected with the opening of international flights to Berlin, Vienna and Munich and a program of flights from regions to the south of Russia in 30 directions”, commented the UTair president, Alexei Budnik.
UTair Aviation is a Russian airline with its head office at Khanty-Mansiysk Airport, while its main base is at Surgut International Airport and Vnukovo International Airport. It operates scheduled domestic and some international passenger services, scheduled helicopter services as well as extensive charter flights with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters in support of the oil and gas industry across Western Siberia.
