Airline NordStar confirmed compliance with IOSA standards

NordStarThe airline NordStar confirmed compliance with IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) standards in the field of operational safety. The new IOSA certificate issued to the airline by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) will be valid from August 27, 2018 to August 26, 2020.

“The audit was carried out in all areas of activity: organizational structures and management, safe flight operations, flight planning and management, maintaining airworthiness and aircraft maintenance, passenger compartment security, ground handling, cargo transportation and aviation security”, said the General Director of NordStar, Leonid Mokhov. “The results of the audit confirmed that NordStar uses advanced standards in the field of safety management and confidently retains the position of a safe air carrier operating in full compliance with advanced international standards”, added he.

The IOSA audit program is a system for evaluating the operational management and control systems of airlines. IOSA uses internationally recognized principles of quality auditing and is conducted in accordance with existing standards in the field of security. Confirmation of compliance with IOSA standards demonstrates the highest level of operational safety of NordStar in accordance with more than 1000 international requirements.

NordStar is a Russian airline based in Norilsk, which main base is Alykel Airport. NordStar’s fleet consists of 9 Boeing 737–800 jets, which are equipped with business and economy classes. In 2011, 4 ATR 42-500s joined the fleet, for regional services.
