A security camera from a hospital in Adelaide (South Australia) has captured the moment when a car-sized meteor lit up the night sky last week. That ‘fireball‘ entered the Earth’s stratosphere at a speed of 44,100 kilometers per hour before exploding with a force of 1.6 kilotons.
“The whole night sky glowed a bright orange color so it looked like a burning comet,” said one witness of that event.
This extraordinary occurrence is very shocking, yet spectacular nonetheless. The amount of light that it lets off is incredible! Just as the witnesses explained, it literally lights up the entire sky.
