Israel will Build a Flight School to Train the Greek Air Force

Israel is going to build a flight school to train the Greek Air Force. The Greek government approves a defense agreement between the Israeli and Greek defense ministries

The agreement will be signed by both defense ministries, and includes the establishment and operation of a flight school for the Hellenic Air Force, by Israel.

It also includes the acquisition of ten M-346 aircraft, the maintenance of T-6 aircraft, and the provision of simulators, training and logistical support.

The G-to-G (government to government) agreement amounts to USD $1.68 billion and will last for 20 years.

This agreement reflects the excellent relations we have with Greece. It is a long-term partnership that will serve the interests of Israel and Greece, create hundreds of jobs in both countries, and promote stability in the Mediterranean.”

“In the phone call I received after the approval of the agreement, I thanked my friend, the Greek Defense Minister, Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, and expressed my appreciation for his personal involvement in advancing this project.”

“I also praised the recent strengthening of defense relations between our countries and pointed out my expectation that they will deepen even further.”
