S7 Airlines won the Safety Leaders Award for transport security

S7 AirlinesS7 Airlines, a member of the global Oneworld aviation alliance, won the Safety Leaders Award in the category “Transport Security: Safety”. The expert jury highly appreciated the airline’s activities to ensure the safety of passenger transportation by air transport, calling S7 Airlines “The Best Company of the Year”.

The prize is given annually in the framework of the Safety Leaders Forum, which takes place with the participation of representatives of business, government and public organizations. Safety Leaders Award marks the best practices in the field of security in various industries.

The air fleet of S7 Airlines is one of the most modern and “young” in Russia. The airline constantly updates the aircraft fleet, using the latest developments of the world’s leading manufacturers. In July 2017, S7 Airlines became the first Russian operator adding to its fleet modern Airbus A320neo airliners. S7 Airlines also signed a contract for the delivery in 2018 of new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Pilots, flight attendants and ground handling experts of S7 Airlines are trained on the basis of the largest training center in Eastern Europe, S7 Training, under the guidance of experienced instructor pilots. The center is certified for training in 80 areas of training and advanced training of flight and technical personnel and has the most modern technical base in Russia, also specified in S7.
