USA’s New Restrictions on Military Imports from China, Russia and Venezuela

“It is important to consider the ramifications of doing business with countries that have a history of diverting goods purchased from US companies for military uses,” Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in a statement.

Ross has denounced that “certain entities of China, Russia and Venezuela have tried to circumvent the export controls of the United States and undermine the American interests in general.”

“So we will remain vigilant to ensure that American technology does not fall into the wrong hands,” he said.

This last step is part of the sanctions campaign against Russia and Venezuela and the trade war with China.

According to experts from the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), it is China, and not Russia, that the United States looks to when comparing the capabilities of its military forces.

And this is especially true in terms of the air and naval forces, which is where the Chinese government has focused its modernization efforts.

In terms of the army, the Russian remains the point of comparison for the Pentagon.

Several analysts – not just the IISS, which have been preparing the yearbook of military spending in the world since 1959 – agree that the advances and technical skills of the Chinese army are remarkable.

China and the United States were faced in an economic war for tariffs on exports and imports that lasted more than a year and concluded with a recent agreement in the midst of the outbreak of the new coronavirus, which has paralyzed production, tourism and imports in almost every country on the planet.

Internationally, an investigation against the emergence and spread of COVID-19, which emerged in the city of Wuhan and has caused more than 200,000 deaths and more than three million infected, is increasingly taking an interest in official figures.

Several governments have expressed their dissatisfaction with the official information from China about the emergence of the virus and their actions to control it.

In some countries like Australia, Great Britain and the USA lawsuits have been filed against the Asian regime.
