The United States Space Force Launches the First Rocket into Space

The United States Space Force, founded in 2019, launched its first communications satellite into space.

The United States Space Force tweeted that a rocket, carrying the sixth communications satellite, was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

GeneralĀ of the US Space Force Missile and Space Systems Center, John F. Thompson, said that despite the Covid-19 epidemic, the United States Space Force launched the Atlas V rocket into space with 6,168 kilograms.

The United States Space Force was officially founded in December 2019 after President Donald Trump signed the 2020 defense budget, known as the National Defense Authorization Act.
