Two People Dead After Plane Crash in Italy

Two people died as a result of a small plane crash in the province of Savona, in northern Italy, AZERTAC reports quoted to TASS.

According to local television networks, the plane flying from Vercelli (Piedmont region) and heading to the town of Villanova d’Albenga, in Liguria, disappeared from the radar the night before.

The rescuers reached the point where the ultralight fell thanks to the signaling of the crew of a Navy helicopter that participated in the search during the night.

The fog and the very impermeable area made it difficult to reach the point where the plane hit the ground.

Civil protection personnel and the Carabinieri also participate in the operations.

According to the Alpine rescue, the accident occurred in an area where another ultralight aircraft had fallen in the past.
