The Russian airline Azimuth made 8,200 flights and carried 0.67 million passengers in 2018. The airline plans to double these figures in 2019 to 13,900 flights and 1.2 million passengers, announced the company’s director Oleg Dyshkant.
Thus, the passenger traffic of Azimuth in the current year is expected to almost double to the level of the previous year.
According to Oleg Dyshkant, the route network will increase from 35 destinations in 2018 to 55 in 2019, the fleet of aircraft from 8 to 9, the occupancy of passenger seats from 82.6% to 83.5%.
At the same time, he stressed that the airline’s fleet consists of Russian-made Superjet 100 aircraft. The company operates flights mainly between Russian cities, as well as to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Yerevan (Armenia).
“As for Bryansk, the flight to Krasnodar and the flight to Sochi, which is scheduled to open from May 1, will be year-round”, added Oleg Dyshkant.
Earlier it was reported that the airline Azimuth from March 14 will begin to carry out flights from Krasnodar to Bryansk. Flights will be operated twice a week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Departure from Krasnodar is at 9:00, arrival in Bryansk at 11:05, in the opposite direction departure from Bryansk at 11:55, arrival in Krasnodar at 14:00.
