Belavia Airlines projects a 20% increase in transported passengers in 2019

Belavia AirlinesBelavia Airlines plans to transport 3.6-3.7 million passengers in 2019, which represents an increase of more than 20% YoY.

“This year we transported 3 million passengers, which is about 15% more than last year. If we talk about 2019, we hope that the number of our passengers will be 3.6-3.7 million”, said Anatoly Gusarov.

According to him, a number of factors contributed to the growth of passenger traffic. In particular, new routes were opened (both regular and charter), in a number of directions there was a decrease in the cost of tickets, while the number of transit traffic increased.

“This year is successful for us because we are adjusting the airline’s business model in terms of systematic, constant price reductions in almost all areas of the route network. We are increasing the number of cities where we operate regular flights. Recently, a regular flight to Chisinau was launched, and in a few days will open a regular route from Minsk to Voronezh. In addition, we have quite interesting long-term plans for opening routes next year”, said also Anatoly Gusarov.

As for regular flights, the airline hopes that in 2019 will open direct flights to Munich and Murmansk.

“There are also routes for study. There are also some very interesting charter destinations at competitive prices”, said the general director of the airline.
