S7 Aviation Training Center began operating the Embraer 170 integrated simulator, manufactured by FlightSafety International. S7 Airlines pilots are already undergoing training on the new simulator.
Full Flight Simulators are designed for pilots to work out the necessary skills in conditions as close as possible to real flight. They are equipped with a cabin that fully corresponds to the cabin of a real aircraft. The simulator is equipped with a Moog digital electric mobility system with six degrees of freedom to simulate flight dynamics, as well as the Rockwell Collins EP-8100 visualization system with JVC VS-2500 laser projectors. The viewing angle is 200 degrees in the horizontal plane and 40 degrees in the vertical. These characteristics allow you to recreate the feeling of real flight.
“The new simulator is certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) according to the highest standard Full Flight Simulators Level D. This is the world’s first simulator of this type of aircraft, certified in accordance with the requirements of EASA CS-FSTD (A) Issue 2, which includes the possibility of conducting training on airborne from a difficult spatial position and stall, as well as critical flight modes. The instructor’s workplace is equipped with touch-sensitive LCD monitors and auxiliary buttons for quick entry of functions, which allows battle moment training to change the flight conditions and work out all the necessary skills”, says the statement of S7 Training.
Currently, S7 Training is able to carry out all types of training for pilots and flight attendants on E170 / 175/190/195 aircraft using the FFS Embraer 170 and Door Trainer Embraer 170 simulators.
In 2017, S7 Airlines became the first operator in Russia of Embraer 170-LR aircraft. Now there are 17 such aircraft in the airline fleet Embraer 170-LR operate flights from Moscow, Novosibirsk, and St Petersburg.
