Training aircraft Cessna 172S with two people disappeared in Turkey

Cessna 172STraining aircraft Cessna 172S disappeared in Denizli Province in Turkey. The aircraft departs from Aydinwith 2 people on board and fell in Baskarcı Mahallesi region. The accident was reported to State Aviation Authority, which organized search and rescue operations. Police officers and firefighters were dispatched at the area and after short search found the wreckage. it is not yet clear if the pilot and student had survived during the accident, as both were not yet identified.

Investigation for the root cause of the accident is under way. The aircraft was performing training flight in dense fog. The bad weather condition also worsen the search and rescue operations.

The local authorities are not disclosing more details about the accident.
