Lithuanian Spartan Air Force suffered technical malfunction before flight to Riga with President

Lithuanian Spartan Air ForceThe delegation of the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite was not able to fly to Riga on Sunday due to a technical malfunction of the aircraft of the Lithuanian Air Force. The Lithuanian President was due to to participate in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Latvia, but unfortunately the technical problem with the aircraft suspended the plans.

It is noted that the flight to Riga did not take place due to an unexpected malfunction of the Spartan Air Force aircraft, about which the delegation was informed upon arrival at Vilnius International Airport.

The head of Lithuania confined herself to a video message. The press service said that Dalia Grybauskaite recorded an appeal at the Vilnius airport. In it, the president noted that for Lithuania, Latvia has always been not only an important partner in the field of security and the economy, but also a friendly neighbor.

The circumstances of the incident with the technical problem of the Spartan Air Force aircraft are being investigated. It is argued that a malfunction prevented the board from rising into the air has been identified, but a detailed analysis of the emergency situation remains to be carried out.
