More than 150 flights were cancelled at Brussels International airport, due to strike of Aviapartner baggage handlers. The strike is likely to continue until Tuesday evening after talks with management ended without an agreement late on Sunday. The strike, which had not been called by the unions in advance, began on Thursday evening and has already grounded hundreds of flights. In general, since October 25, when the strike began, 530 flights were canceled at the Brussels airport. This was reflected in the flights of airlines Aer lingus, Air Baltic, Air Europa, Air Serbia, Air Transat, ANA – All Nippon Airways, BMI Regional, British Airways, CSA Czech Airlines, EasyJet, El Al, Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways, FlyEgypt, Iberia, KLM, Ryanair, SAS, TUI fly, Tunisair and Turkish Airlines.
The strikers are demanding better working conditions and an increase in financial payments; they are not satisfied that they do not have an exact schedule and lunch breaks.
