The earnings per share were 1.91 USD versus 1.61 USD an year earlier. The airline operating profit declined by 9.9% to 1.642 billion USD. The company’s operating revenue in the reporting quarter for the year increased by 8% to 11.953 billion USD.

According to the company’s president, Glen Hauenstein, the company’s financial results in the quarter were influenced by high demand and an increase in bond yields. Glen Hauenstein noted that in the fourth quarter, the airline expects revenue to grow by 3-5% and an increase of the same indicator for the fiscal year by 8%.
