Turkish Airlines refused to participate in the global airline audit conducted by Skytrax and since June 8, 2018 will take into account only direct passenger reviews, including those serviced at Istanbul’s new airport, which will open on October 29, 2018.
“The Turkish national airline is doing everything possible to satisfy the demands of its passengers. The experience and valuable information received by Turkish Airlines through the participation in the ratings of airlines will help to further improve the quality of the services provided”, says the statement of Turkish Airlines.
Skytrax is UK–based consultancy which runs an airline and airport review and ranking site. It conducts research for commercial airlines, as well as taking surveys from international travelers to rate cabin staff, airports, airlines, airline lounges, in-flight entertainment, on-board catering, and several other elements of air travel. It also offers flight reviews, flight checks, and satisfaction surveys. Skytrax holds an annual World Airline Awards and World Airport Awards, as well as the ranking for airlines and airports.
Turkish Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey.
