Salon in the form of igloo was built on the roof of the terminal at London’s Heathrow Airport. This Christmas innovation was invented by the airline Virgin Atlantic and fashion club Coppa Club. Formally, the igloo is part of the lounge of the carrier The Clubhouse.
An unusual mini-cabinet is heated and designed for eight people. It is decorated in Scandinavian style and colors of Virgin Atlantic and is a transparent glass dome with wooden ribs. Inside there is a table, a small sofa and several ottomans. In the needle you can order lunch and drinks, from there you have a view of the runway.
“We have created one of the world’s most thrilling airport experiences where customers can eat, drink and relax under the stars with unrivalled views of the runway”, said the vice president for customer experience of Virgin Atlantic, Daniel Kerzner.
Transparent domes created within the framework of the Coppa Club project are also installed on the terrace of the Tower Bridge restaurant – they first appeared there in the winter two years ago. The igloo on the roof of Heathrow will receive guests until January 18, 2018.
To access the London Heathrow Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, you must be flying in Virgin Atlantic Upper Class or on Delta One business class. You can also enter if you have Gold status with Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club or are a Delta Platinum or Diamond Medallion elite flying Delta or Virgin between the UK and the US.
