The firefighters succeeded to extinguish the flames, but the area was difficult to reach and located far away from their headquarters, which seriously hampered the rescue operations. According to the commander of the 7th Itaituba Military Fire Brigade, the pilot and passenger carried tools on the aircraft and lost control shortly after it took off.

The local authorities released that aircraft Cessna U206G Stationair was not authorized by the National Civil Aviation Agency to fly. The root cause and circumstances around the accident are under way.
